It’s the Time
Thursday, November 26th, 2009Christmas season is fast approaching and in line with the holiday season are the holiday incentives and bonuses at work. So aside from the regular salary, there will be additional income added in our paychecks. Additional money we can use in buying gifts for our family and friends and more sumptuous food in the table on Christmas and New year’s eve. But while I was driving home one day, while I was waiting for the red light to go green, I saw a frail bald man looking over the window of a cancer institute. I felt my heart went to my throat. I was there sitting in an air conditioned car thinking what foods we will be serving on Christmas eve and at the same time, there are people thinking how will they survive another day. Christmas is the best time for giving, so after consulting my wife, we have decided to have a cancer car donation. One car for a family of four will do. Just recently I learned that my brother had a car donation veteran and he was very happy with his decision. If you feel that you were blessed and have a healthy family, wouldn’t it be a great idea to donate your car and share the blessings you got rather than keeping it all for yourself?
